A very short and sweet write up about our latest wine night. It’s been a little difficult to get everyone together lately with new babies, work commitments and visiting families so it’s been a while between drinks. Paula decided to hold an impromptu Margaret River wine night over the weekend, however not everyone was available so it was a small gathering. I have been busy entertaining my in-laws who are over from the UK so couldn’t make it but the girls did give me their feedback about the wines.
The 4 wines were from the more prominent wineries in Margaret River and were priced between $25 – $35, with the reds at the more expensive end of the scale.
Overall scores and feedback for the night:
Wine | Score | Would We Buy Again? |
---|---|---|
Madfish Sparkling NV Vera’s Cuvee | 78% | Yes |
Clairault Chardonnay 2014 | 75% | Yes |
Windows Cabernet Merlot 2013 | 70% | No |
Wills Domain Block 5 Shiraz 2013 | 73% | 50/50 |
Our next wine night will be in January, however we will all catch up at our annual Christmas dinner in early December. Watch this space for my write up about that!
